What is yokewithjoy?

Savasana, anyone?

What is yokewithjoy? Well, first it’s me coming up with a name for a blog, but it goes deeper than that. yokewithjoy is exactly what I want to do with my life. The word “yoga” means “to yoke.” To yoke what? Traditionally, mind, body, and spirit. For me, to yokewithjoy is to come from an intention of joy into everything I do. I want to yoke, to connect, my life with joy.

By setting this intention, I’m changing the way I look at my life, and the way I make decisions. While not everything can be decided based on the question, “will this bring me joy?” it’s a good place to start. I can ask, “if this task or situation doesn’t bring me joy, can I find an aspect that does?” It’s amazing how a shift in perspective can change how you feel!
